The Position:

The call to plant a church is both exciting and weighty, especially in the season between receiving that call and launching. This role is for a church planter with a deep sense of calling to plant in Southeast DenverParker, Highlands Ranch, or the surrounding areawho has a genuine warmth for the people of this community.

To lay the foundation for a strong, lasting church, the planter will begin with a one-year residency designed to provide essential support, wisdom, prayer, strategic planning, and potential funding. This residency is not just a stepping stoneit is the first stage of planting a thriving church in Southeast Denver. The planter will move through this season with intentional support, positioning the new church for long-term health and impact in the community.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish a presence in Southeast Denver, building relationships, listening, learning, and praying.
  • Develop and articulate a clear vision, mission, and strategy for planting the church.
  • Network with other believers in the area to foster connections.
  • Recruit and develop a team of prayer partners.
  • Engage with the unchurched and cultivate relationships in the target area.
  • Form and lead a launch team tailored to the chosen planting strategy.
  • Oversee administrative responsibilities necessary for a successful church launch.
  • Participate in Network meetings and contribute to shared responsibilities within the organization.
  • Fundraising for a portion of salary.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters of Divinity or equivalent.
  • Theological Clarity: Strong understanding of the Gospel, deep biblical knowledge, and a firm grasp of Anglican faith and doctrine.
  • Spiritual Vitality: A thriving relationship with Jesus, strong devotional habits, and a commitment to Word and Sacrament.
  • Calling to Church Planting: A clear and developing sense of calling rather than a fallback option or external compulsion.
  • Healthy Marriage and Family: A mature and supportive marriage, family stability, and financial health that supports long-term ministry.
  • Relationship Building: A passion for people, the ability to form new relationships and a heart for community engagement.
  • Leadership Ability: Vision casting, team leadership, system creation, and decision-making with integrity and humility.
  • Missional Lifestyle: Demonstrated ability to engage the lost and form community within a citys cultural context.
  • Disciple-Making Skills: Proven experience in disciple-making and equipping others for ministry.
  • Entrepreneurial Aptitude: A self-starter with a high-risk tolerance, vision for what could be, and perseverance for long-term success.
  • Anglican Ethos: A commitment to the Anglican Churchs Word and Sacrament tradition, particularly within the Reformed Anglican tradition and its stance on male priesthood.


Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: 70-80k + fundraising
