About the position

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manages key account relationships both growing existing relationships and opening new doors; strategically partner with accounts and distributors to drive revenue.
  • Key point of contact for external partners to enhance relationships, streamline communication initiative and connect cross-functional teams for a holistic business view.
  • Partner with senior management to drive company’s strategic initiatives as well as establishing and achieving sales, margin and inventory goals.
  • Provide recommendations to management to improve sales, grow customer base and develop initiatives to increase sales performance.
  • Provide weekly/monthly business insights and commentary.
  • Work closely with design and merchandising team to align on product range, pricing, and delivery as well product assortment.
  • Work closely with marketing to establish successful channel and partner programs, positioning the brand properly from a point-of-sale perspective.
  • Manage monthly sales performance by account (including sales booked and shipped) to ensure goals are being met and provide competitive market analysis by category.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals for sales strategies.
  • Define sales processes and identify improvements when required.
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs, samples and the showroom.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships.
  • Partner with internal sales operations team to ensure timely deliveries, communicating all delays and cancellations accordingly.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience and 2+ years in management.
  • Experience working with large format retailers.
  • Experience working directly with Sales staff and Retail Buyers to set sales growth strategy, product selection and direction.
  • Experience with men’s and women’s contemporary fashion.
  • Strong Customer/Client orientation.
  • Strong organizational, operational, planning and communication skills as well as outstanding presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate the brand image and positioning.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
  • Proven Leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
