Responsibilities

  • Develop new features for the video player.
  • Conduct A/B experiments and analyze data.
  • Influence decision-making based on data analysis.
  • Roll out new playback features to millions of devices worldwide.

Skills

  • Have 3+ years of software development experience with streaming media playback and/or developing software to manage audio video playback on devices.
  • Proficient in Typescript and Node.js.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with A/B testing, developing experiments to test hypotheses, and analyzing data to drive improvements in streaming quality.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of adaptive streaming technologies MPEG DASH, HTML5 MSE and EME is nice to have.
  • Experience with shipping software at scale is a big plus.
  • Experience developing software on SmartTV’s, SetTop boxes or Streaming sticks is a big plus.
