Position Overview:

We serve a passionate and highly engaged community of students who practice Qi Gong through our Video Class Subscription (VCS) and other live virtual events.

Our community is unique—members wake up at 4 a.m. to join classes, tune in from canoes in the middle of lakes, and even practice Qi Gong in hospital parking lots while family members give birth. We’re committed to delivering them the best experience possible.

We are looking for a world-class Video Class Moderator & Community Engagement Manager who can seamlessly manage live classes, engage with students, troubleshoot tech issues, and enhance our students' experience in real-time.

What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

As a Video Class Moderator & Community Engagement Manager, you will:

  • Moderate Live Virtual Classes and Events
  • Host and moderate 3-5 live video classes per week (via Zoom), ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
  • Host and moderate up to 9 or more non-live virtual classes for students
  • Provide real-time tech support, helping attendees resolve audio, video, and connection issues.
  • Perform pre-class quality checks to ensure video, audio, and lighting are optimized.
  • Help students navigate Zoom, locate class materials, and answer FAQs.
  • Moderate chat discussions, engaging with attendees and fostering a welcoming community.
  • Monitor real-time video and audio feeds and immediately flag issues with our on-site video crew.


 

  • Community Engagement & Communication
  • Manage and send class notification emails with schedules, Zoom links, and event details.
  • Serve as the friendly, knowledgeable face of our live classes and community events, representing our company’s values.
  • Provide prompt, personalized responses to community members during live events.


 

  • Administrative & Technical Support
  • Handle backend class setup and close-out for live virtual training sessions.
  • Support real-time Q&A sessions and assist students in finding relevant products and services.
  • Utilize tools like Slack, Asana, Google Workspace, and Zoom to manage tasks.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in our live class experience.



Who We’re Looking For (Ideal Candidate)Must-Haves

  • Tech-Savvy & Comfortable on Camera – You must have a strong and stable internet connection, a reliable webcam/mic, and a solid computer setup. You’re comfortable being on video and engaging with students live.
  • Excellent Communication & Customer Service Skills – You can engage an audience, make people feel welcomed and supported, and handle tech troubleshooting with patience.
  • Highly Reliable & Detail-Oriented – Our students depend on these live classes! You must be on time, prepared, and ready to ensure a smooth experience every time.
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Tasks – You can balance moderating, tech troubleshooting, and community engagement all at once without getting overwhelmed.
  • Passion for Helping Others & a Positive Attitude – Our students are dedicated to personal growth and wellness, and we need someone who shares their enthusiasm.

Bonus Skills (Preferred, but Not Required)

  • Experience livestreaming on Twitch, Zoom, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
  • Moderating live events, webinars, or online courses.
  • Background in health, wellness, or Qi Gong (or a strong interest in it!)
  • Familiarity with tools like Slack, Asana, and Google Workspace

Position Details

  • Hours: Part-Time (20+ hours/week), with potential for full-time expansion.
  • Pay: $20-$25/hour, based on experience.
  • Location: 100% Remote. Work from anywhere with a strong internet connection!
  • Schedule: Generally Monday - Friday but requires availability during scheduled live events on weekends.
