Commercial Finance Manager ID-20287
The Commercial Finance Manager will be a key resource to Finance, Sales and Marketing. The role will focus on ensuring that pricing actions and decisions are timely and consider a wide variety of factors. This position will require a strong knowledge base in margin analysis, variance analysis (volume, price and mix analysis), the ability to seek out process/procedural improvements, and exhibit outstanding interpersonal skills. This new role is essential in building a strong resource and vision for innovative margin, product costing, and variance analysis with robust policies and procedures and team development at Daisy Brand.

Principle Duties

- Partnering with Sales and Marketing on pricing and trade decisions
- Developing models and making recommendations
- Support and mentor the pricing team including processes and procedures
- Ensure appropriate controls and processes

Trade Funding, Spending and Contra Revenue
- Partner with Sales to assist on their performance and reporting needs
- Be a subject matter expert on promotions and pricing data
- Return on investment analysis for promotions

Budgeting & Forecasting
- Ensuring that the annual budget and monthly reforecasts are accurate for volume, pricing, promotions and related areas
- Oversight of the Sales Planner/Trade Promotion Management tools and processes
- Aid in the maintenance of data loaded into ERP system and support expansion of software capabilities

Ad-hoc, Reporting and Daily Soft Close
- Ensure that reports and data sources produced by the team are current, accurate, and automated
- Develop and manage daily soft close processes to provide further visibility and trust in information
- Perform comprehensive financial assessments to evaluate business performance, spot trends, and offer actionable insights
- Offer strategic insights on initiatives and projects, providing financial guidance and ensuring alignment with overall objectives
KEY RESULTS AND DELIVERABLES (WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE)
- Become subject matter expert of how Trade Funding and Trade Expenses are evaluated and provide insight into spending
- Become subject matter expert into the pricing models and the factors that are in play for retail, club, hospitality and other segments, making recommendations and being a resource for leadership
- Establish strong working relationships with Sales, Marketing, Operations Finance and cross functional departments
- Committed to investing time to assist in the growth and development of others

IMMEDIATE MANAGER: Chief Financial Officer
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college is required
- Experience in ERP software such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus
- 5+ years of work experience in commercial finance or sales finance with previous supervisory experience is required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and PowerBI are required
- Experience with Visual Basic (now scripts) skills and data management is a plus
- Experience in Microsoft Power Automate or other RPA tools is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Excellent business acumen and analytical approaches to modeling and problem-solving
- Experience with trade management with a CPG company
- A hybrid work environment will split time between working remote and the corporate office
