Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide timely IT support for parish and school staff, faculty, and students, including hardware, software, network, and audiovisual systems.
  • Network Administration: Maintain and optimize local and cloud-based networks, ensuring connectivity, security, and efficient operation.
  • Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive parish and school data, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and conduct regular security audits.
  • System Maintenance & Upgrades: Install, configure, update and repair computers, tablets, servers, software, and other technology assets.
  • Technology Planning & Implementation: Assess IT needs, recommend improvements, and implement new technologies that support parish and school operations.
  • Website & Communication Support: Assist in maintaining the parish and school websites, email systems, and digital communication platforms including Microsoft Teams IP phones.
  • Technology Training: Provide training and support for staff, faculty, and students to enhance their use of technology in administrative and educational settings.
  • Vendor & Budget Management: Collaborate with external IT vendors, manage software licenses, and assist in developing the IT budget.
  • Audio-Visual Support: Set up and troubleshoot AV equipment for parish liturgies, school events, and meetings.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily onsite at the parish and school campus, with occasional evening or weekend support as needed.
  • Some physical activity may be required, including lifting IT equipment and installing cables.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing and a steward in one’s parish with a commitment to the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church is preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-3 years of IT support experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac OS, Microsoft 365 administration and applications, Google applications, and networking principles.
  • Experience with cybersecurity best practices, data protection, backup solutions, network routers/switches and telephony systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Familiarity with website management and social media integration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with parish databases and management software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, lighting control, security and surveillance systems is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
