About the position

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a reliable Lead Cook for a private school dining hall in Miami, FL. This position is full-time and offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $25, with weekly pay. The Lead Cook will play a crucial role in ensuring that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing, while also interacting cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members, providing service with a smile. The Lead Cook will oversee the preparation of menu items in strict accordance with both SAGE recipes and HACCP guidelines, ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Additionally, the Lead Cook will be responsible for cleaning all work areas, equipment, and guest service areas on an ongoing basis, maintaining a clean and safe environment for both staff and guests. In this role, the Lead Cook will assist with inventory and ordering, ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked and prepared for daily operations. A key responsibility will be to train, motivate, and oversee Cooks and culinary Team Members, setting a good example each day by being a role model and leader in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess a culinary degree or equivalent culinary experience, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to delegate tasks effectively. The capacity to train and motivate others is essential for success in this position. While ServSAFE® certification is preferred, it is not required.
