Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Staff Accountant located in Opa-Locka, FL. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis for Cigarette Racing. They will ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies, as well as assist in audits and financial planning.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with strong general ledger experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience in Home health a plus.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of financial data.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the company’s budget and forecast.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
  • Perform variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with the Controller on financial audits, tax filings, and internal controls.
  • Review and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with payroll accounting audits and the preparation of tax reports.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
