Essential Functions
  • Reviews customer delivery and packaging requirements with Inside Sales at time of order entry.
  • Provides Customer with required shipping documentation for International and Domestic shipments.
  • Works closely with vendors specifically on direct shipments to ensure all customer requirements are followed and processed correctly.
  • Obtains complete shipping information from warehouse, along with weights and dimensions.
  • Communicates directly with customer, and their agents to ensure the timely movement of material.
  • Able to communicate or work with regularly and effectively with our Inside Sales, Warehouse and Expeditors on a daily basis
  • Obtain timely and accurate information from suppliers

Competencies

  • Knowledge of requirements for international and hazardous material shipping
  • Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects and multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills

Supervisory Responsibility

The Traffic and Logistics Coordinator position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities, however they are responsible for managing the information for all drivers in the company.

Working Conditions

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work

  • This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
  • The employee must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Education And Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of Logistics experience
  • High school diploma required
