The Aftermarket Operations team is looking for an Operations Cell Leader for the Geared Turbo Fan Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (GTF MRO) line operating in West Palm Beach (WPB) supporting the PW1100G-JM commercial engine. This role will be responsible for supporting the induction and tear down of engines.The selected individual will lead a team of bargaining unit hourly employees who are responsible for supporting the various areas of the GTF engines overhauled in WPB.The selected candidate will also be expected to effectively provide clear communication to leadership, peers, and subordinates.Competencies that are critical for success in this role are Customer Focus, Adaptability, Strategic Thinking, and Communication.The individual must embrace continuous improvement and be able to thrive in a highly visible, dynamic setting.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Operation team that ultimately supports desired financial goals and engine return dates.

  • Collaborate with the Operations and support teams to establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability, and other top priorities.

  • Proactively generate effective solutions for Quality process control and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

  • Support process implementation and refinement activities throughout all process gates.

  • Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly.

  • Ensure full involvement in continuous improvement initiatives tools to improve production, performance, and reduce overall operating cost.

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years prior experience leading team within an maintenance overhaul, manufacturing or aerospace environment

  • Specialized knowledge of aircraft maintenance requirements

  • A&P License

  • Ability to work with all levels of management and communicate effectively and concisely with peers, customers, and clients.
